TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Karl Pearson, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date7 January 1897
DescriptionHarrison explains that Pearson's letter of 27 December arrived during the Christmas vacation, and that for this reason, together with the pressures of work, it has remained unanswered. He has now forwarded the letter to Professor Darwin as requested. Pearson's paper on spurious correlations has been received and registered by the Royal Society.

He further apologises that the printers are behind in sending Pearson his separate copies, and notes that they have orders for these to be sent out before 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' is published, so Harrison is writing to them to enquire why this has not been done.

The bound volume of 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' containing the papers of Section A to which Pearson is entitled is in the press. This will be sent when issued, as they are not able to make up a complete set of the separate papers. In future, the Separate Papers will be sent by post. With regard to Korosi's paper, they have none in stock, but he may be able to obtain a copy from Messrs Dulau & Company, which as it was published before Pearson's election, will cost him 3 shillings.
