Date6 February 1897
Description'Dear Sir,
With reference to your letter of the 30th January addressed to Professor M. [Michael] Foster, I am directed to point out that we have not yet received the "brief account" of your "work on the Salmon" mentioned therein. I presume you refer to a manuscript? Your paper on "Fragmentation in Lineus gesserensis" was safely received, and I hope shortly to be in a position to communicate with you concerning it.
I am, yours faithfully,
Robt Harrison
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
