TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to an unknown correspondent, [Editor of 'Nature']
Date17 March 1897
Description'ADVERTISING PHIL. TRANS.. We are obliged to your for pointing out that Phil Trans. A 1896 (vol 188) had been advertised. Certainly none us of here had seen it, probably because the advertisement did not appear until a month after the issue of the volume, and moreover it was placed in the columns of Nature in an unusual position. Similarly, it will be a month after issue for A 1897 (volume 187) even if you have managed to secure insertion in Thursday's Nature.

It will perhaps be best for you to proceed to advertise immediately upon the issue of each volume, not waiting for the completion of parts A and B. We shall then reap the benefit'.
