TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Professor Osborne Reynolds, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date18 March 1897
DescriptionThe Council decided today to ask Reyndolds and Mr [W H] Moorby to give as the Bakerian lecture, an account of the joint work described in the paper Reynolds recently communicated to the Society.

Thursday 29th May has been fixed for the lecture and Rucker hopes this will be agreeable.

A paper by two authors has on several occasions been selected as the Bakerian lecture but it is unusual for the address to be given by one of the authors only, and [Michael] Foster agrees with Rucker that it is desirable to adhere to this practice.
