TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to Mr Frank McClean, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date18 March 1897
DescriptionIt has been arranged that the speakers at the Discussion Meeting will be limited to a certain time, probably ten minutes, and it is not desirable that the reading of [Joseph Norman] Lockyer's communication should be followed by another paper. It is however evident that what McClean has to say is very much to the point and Rucker hopes that if the full description of McClean's work would take more than ten minutes or so, he will pick out one or two points to explain next Thursday.

Of course in that case it will be distinctly understood that McCleans' paper will be read on a future occasion and will be in no way prejudiced by the fact that McClean has announced some of the results at the Discussion Meeting.

Hopes McClean will agree to this suggestion.
