DescriptionHarrison is desired by the Secretaries to say that, in reply to Mawley's letter of the 27th March, no scheme has yet been formulated for the administration of the proposed Victoria Research Fund.

The letter from the President of the Royal Society [Lord Joseph Lister] has been addressed to the various learned Societies with the object of ascertaining the extent to which the proposal for a Research Fund is likely to meet with their support and cooperation, and at present the matter has proceeded no further.
