DescriptionAdverting to Dickinson's letter on the subject of the proposed Victoria Research Fund, he is directed to inform Dickinson that it is not proposed to take into consideration any detailed scheme until the general sense of the Societies which have been approached on the subject has been ascertained. As the Societies which the President [Joseph Lister] has addressed include many in distant parts of the world, replies have not yet been received from all of them to his first communication.
