TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Andrew Ainslie Common, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date22 July 1897
DescriptionHarrison is desired by the Secretaries to acknowledge Common's letter of the 20th, enclosing a copy of a letter from Sir J N Lockyer, and to say that a letter has been addressed to Admiralty in the sense suggested by Lockyer. A letter is also going to the War Office on the subject of Captain Hill's leave.

The Secretaries have asked Harrison to see Common on the subject of Common's letter of the 16th June, with the object of obtaining some more detailed particulars, on which they may base the application, which they think should now go in its final form to the Indian Government. Asks when Common will next be in town so that he may call upon him.
