TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr John Venn, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date7 October 1897
DescriptionBy the aid of the date Venn gave him, Harrison has found William Wilkins in an old list of Fellows; he was elected a Fellow in 1831 and there is an obituary notice of him in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society', volume four. Cannot find reference to Revett Shepherd anywhere and thinks he must not have been a Fellow.

Venn's enquiry has given Harrison an occasion to discover a hiatus of 60 years in the alphabetical index to the register of Fellows.

Dr John Ayrton Paris was elected 21st June 1821 and admitted 8th November following.
