TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to the Secretaries, Joint Permanent Eclipse Committee, Royal Astronomical Society, Burlington House, W.
Date29 October 1897
DescriptionThe Council had before them yesterday an application from Dr [Ralph] Copeland, Astronomer Royal for Scotland, for an additional grant towards the expenses of his expedition for observing the approaching Solar Eclipse.

The Council consider it very desirable to have the opinion of the Eclipse Committee on any such application and therefore wish to refer Copeland's letter to the Secretaries with a request that they will lay it before their Committee.
