| Description | The Assistant Secretary has handed Joly's letter to James, referring to the Medals which the Royal Dublin Society are about to found and to the choice of a die-striker.
The medals recently instituted by the Society are the Darwin and Buchanan. Allan Wyon of 2-3 Langham Chambers, Portland Place, prepared the die for the former and John Pinches, 27 Oxonden Street, S.W., the latter. Wyon lately cast the die for the Royal Geographical Society's Nansen Medals.The Huxley memorial Committee went to Mr Bowcher. James thinks Pinches would probably charge the lowest. |
