DescriptionIs sending two papers, one or both of which he and the Chairman of the Mathematical Committee hope MacMahon will take on as referee. G Darwin who has previously taken most of [Karl] Pearson's papers before is abroad and F Galton has just lost his wife. The two papers deal with very similar matters. Hopes MacMahon may be able to assist the Committee in what may otherwise be a serious difficulty.
