DescriptionA letter from the India Office was received yesterday, asking for particulars as to the Assistance desired from the Government of India for the forthcoming expedition to observe the total Solar Eclipse. Rucker is informed by the Chairman of the Permanent Eclipse Committee that full particulars were sent to Bernard last week by the Astronomer Royal. The India Office specially desires the Royal Society to supplement the particulars supplied by Christie and Rucker's own letter of 22nd November.
