DescriptionA discussion meeting is to be held at the Royal Society on February 24 on 'The scientific advantage of an Antarctic expedition'. Sir I Hooker, D Neumayer of the Deutsche Seewarte and other experts are expected to take part. As D Neumayer is in [hyland] should be glad if he too would be present to say a few words. Long speeches are not expected but each speaker should state briefly the advantages to be gained from the point of view of their particular science. Encloses an invitiation to Neumayer [not enclosed] and asks that it is forwarded to him. Baden Powell is also welcome to attend.
