DescriptionIn answer to letter of 19 [February], Sir Alexander Burnes was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society on April 10, 1834, and Sir James Burnes on April 2 1835. The brothers were elected Fellows before they were knighted.

Cannot give copies of their certificates without permission of the Council. If Gould makes a formal application for the copies, Harrison will lay it before the Council.
