TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Neumayer, Hamburg
Date9 May 1898
DescriptionIt is true that the Research Society writing from the Angentorum Laboratory of New York has addressed a letter to the Royal Society propounding a scheme for exploration of the Soth Polar region and inviting the co-operation of the Society. The letter has been referred to a Special Committee which has been appointed by the Council to consider the best means of attacking the problem in question. Harrison is authorised to tell Neumayer privately that the Argentorum proposition is not very highly estimated at the Society.
