DescriptionThe President and Council of the Royal Society, having considered the report made by the Delegates appointed to attend the late meeting of the Cartell of the Academies and Societies of Science of Gottingen, Leipsic, Munich and Vienna, are much impressed with the advantages likely to ensue from the institution of an international association of learned societies, and are prespared to take part in such an association. This is assuming that the association is an international one and is conducted on principles of which the Royal Society can approve.
