| Description | James is directed by the chairman of the Mathematical Committee to send Aldis a referee's report on Aldis' paper for consideration. The Committee does not insist upon the abridgements suggested.
It is thought most desirable that Aldis should adopt the modification of the notation suggested as uniformity of notation is an immense advantage and a book is shortly to be published in which the suggested notation is to be adopted.
The Chairman further suggests that Aldis explicitly state why he has not adopted the usual plan of differencing as a test of accuracy, or that if Aldis has differenced the table, he should state this. |
