TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Herrn Wilhelm Englemann, Verlagsbuchhandlung, Konigs-Strasse, 10, Leipzig
Date25 October 1898
DescriptionWith reference to Engelmann's letter of the 18th addressed to the President [Joseph Lister], Harrison explains that it was written under some misapprehension as it is not, nor never has been, the practice of the Society to express opinions on books and papers presented to them, but only to return formal thanks for them. The Society was glad to receive through Engelmann, volume of of 'Vergleichenden Anatomie der Wirbelthiere' by Professor Carl Gegenbaur.
