Description | Apologizes for delay in replying. Asks Griffith to draw the attention of Miss Chambers to his reply. From inspection of the travelling book and attendance book, the scattering of the staff does not seem to have diminished since the arrangements recently made by the Committee as to the editing of the supplementary volume [of the International Catalogue].
Provides an example of staff waisting time verifying spelling. Miss Chambers seems to be under some misapprehension regarding the Committee although Harrison's letter of the 9th November, of which he encloses a copy [not attached] makes it clear that the Committee wish all queries arising in the preparation of the volume for press to be submitted to Griffith for his opinion before any other steps are taken to settle them. After Griffith has passed copy for press, no alteration is to be made except at Griffith's direction. Asks Griffith to make sure Chambers understands this. |
