DescriptionThe Vice-Chancellor's invitation to the Royal Society to take part in the proceedings connected with the fiftieth year of Sir George Gabriel Stokes' tenure of the Lucasian Professorship of Mathematics in the University of Cambridge was laid before the Council. It was unanimously decided to accept the invitation and the Officers of the Society were nominated to represent the Society on the occasion.
