TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Herrn Franz Plank, Eisenwerk Ferdinandsberg, Bei Karausebes im Krasso Tzörenyer Comitat, Hungary
Date25 January 1889
DescriptionRix explains that he has been waiting a long time for an answer to his letter of 30 November 1888 as it arrived during the Christmas recess, and then Rix had to wait to submit it to his Royal Society chiefs.

He is now instructed to send thanks for the message and enclosures, but notes that the subject matter is outside the scope of the Society which almost exclusively deals with pure science. Also, any memoir intended to be read before the Society should be endorsed by a Fellow of the Society to guarantee suitability. Rix returns the copy of the letter to Vienna and the two 'Bogen' containing the account of the invention.
