TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to Dr Robert Lendlmayer von Lendenfeld
Date9 December 1887
DescriptionReports the findings of the committee with regard to Lendenfeld's monograph, namely that they have received instructions from Mr A White about which press corrections are and are not necessary, they propose that for the illustrations to be paid for by Lendenfeld he obtain the woodblocks or plates himself, and that a response to criticisms of his nomenclature in the 'The Annals and Magazine of Natural History, including zoology, botany and geology' justifying his methods, be included in the preface.

Foster further notes that the system adopted was on Lendenfeld's own authority and that the Royal Society are not responsible for it.
