TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Drake & Gorham
Date29 June 1888
DescriptionRix informs them of the 'negligence of your man Robson'. They were unable to locate him at 11.45am, and when Rix went down at 12.20pm, he found that engine gates ajar, despite instructions to keep them closed when the engine is running, and Robson asleep in the cell room. Rix records that this was not the first time, and he feels it important to mention this as Robson is paid by the hour to run the engine and yet sleeps during that time.
