TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Drake & Gorham, 2 Princes Mansions
Date6 July 1888
DescriptionAsks if in the present quarter they will keep account of the number of hours spent charging the Society of Antiquaries' batteries, and the number spent charging the Royal Society's. If possible, Rix would like the difference from 25 June 1887 up to the present, so as to make the separate account for the quarter complete.

The account for twenty nine pounds, fourteen shillings and two pence has been received, but has just missed the Council when accounts were passed, so the cheque cannot yet be sent. Rix also queries a charge for three bronzed four-light pendants, as the two pendants in question are three-lights and asks if it makes any difference to the cost.

A postscript notes the gratitude of the Society Treasurer, John Evans, for their offer to run wires at the ends of the library without extra cost, and asks if they can get a member of their staff to start when he is on the premises.
