DescriptionRix is sending by Parcels Delivery Company a parcel containing a volume by a Committee of the Royal Society on the eruption of Krakatoa. It is presented by the President and Council of the Royal Society, and intended for the Imperial Observatory in Rio de Janeiro to whom it is addressed. Rix asks if the Consul General will assist by transmitting it to them.
