TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Edwin Ray Lankester, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date25 September 1888
DescriptionRix sends a reminder regarding the missing part of the 'John Hopkins Biological Studies', which was borrowed in Lankester's name on 20 October 1887, and which evidence shows has not been returned. He asks whether Lankester has given up hopes of finding it, as he will soon be reporting to the Royal Society Library Committee on any books not returned in response to their annual circular.

Rix offers to show him the handwriting of the entry in case it is of assistance, and states that the signature is Lankester's.
