TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor George Gabriel Stokes, President of the Royal Society
Date2 October 1888
DescriptionResponds to state that Mr Andrew's paper has been published in 'Proceedings of the Royal Society'. Rix supposes that Stokes has seen his note, enclosed with Sir Michael Hicks Beach's letter, in which he acknowledges receipt of of the letter and asks for the reports which were not included with Hicks Beach's letter.

A postscript records the arrival of the reports, which Rix has sent on by book post. Also Dr Michael Foster has been in and asked Rix to submit the reports on John Newport Langley and H M Fletcher, which, pending Stokes' approval, he believes they might proceed with.
