DescriptionStates that the manuscript and proof of text for the eclipse paper is with Abney, having been sent to South Kensington on 14 August, and the plate numbers cannot be fixed until these are returned with corrections.

Abney also has one revised plate from his paper with Edward Robert Festing, and Rix sends three additional plates with Festing's corrections. Rix asks that all four plates be returned with the corrected text as soon as possible.
