TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor [William Kitchen] Parker, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date6 October 1888
DescriptionEncloses the receipt for Professor Thomas Jeffery Parker's Annual Contribution.

Rix does not know whether his request for a second revision of the text indicates much alteration. If so, it cannot be allowed to stand if it involves disruption to the pages, as the subsequent papers have gone to press with pages and plates numbered. Rix has told Mr White about the German notes and that request will be attended to. Asks whether the corrected text is on its way to the Royal Society. Rix implores Parker to not spend long on his paper, or risk it being published out of its order. He ends the letter with 'O for the good old slow times!'.
