TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Horsley, Fellow of the Royal Society, 80 Park Street, W
Date23 October 1888
DescriptionApologises for the fact that they have an incorrect form of Horsley's title, and notes that the error appears to have originated on his certificate of election to the Royal Society.

Rix provides the description of Horsley from that document, likely to either be in the hand of Horsley himself or Professor Klein, and asks if it is correct as otherwise it will be recorded that his election was partially on the strength of his 'Brown' professorship. The description was in the proofs sent to authors for correction, and the proof of Beever & Horsley was corrected in Horsley's own hand.
