TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor George Gabriel Stokes, President of the Royal Society
Date27 October 1888
DescriptionThe Royal Society is sending the dinner invitations to the Cabinet today, but as some members of the Cabinet are Fellows of the Society, they will not receive their invitations until their invitations to the anniversary summons is posted. Rix therefore asks Stokes to write to them early to ask them to be present if possible. It was assured at the Soirée committee that Stokes would do this, and Rix lists the names of the six Fellows in question.
