TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir William Aitken, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date12 November 1888
DescriptionNotes that Professor F Smith's paper is to hand and registered, and enquires whether it is intended for 'Proceedings of the Royal Society', or 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society. If it is to go to 'Transactions' it will need to be referred to referees and will take longer, but Rix notes that some authors 'like the dignity of quarto'. Further to this, Smith is asked to submit an abstract if it is intended for 'Transactions'.
