TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Robarts, Lubbock & Company
Date12 November 1888
DescriptionRix records that the 115 pounds, 18 shillings and six pence paid to Messrs Harris on 3 November included a four pound cheque which has since been returned by the bankers. To resolve the difference between their bank balance and their books, Rix has sent Mr Wheeler four pounds in gold to credit to the Royal Society, and write up and rule off the accompanying pass-book as their books are closed today.

Rix asks that the pass-book be returned with the Deposit account pass-book, in which they are to write up the Government Grant Deposit account.
