TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir Richard Owen, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date5 December 1888
DescriptionRix's assistant should have explained that the proof of his text was sent for use at the meeting, and it was for this purpose they wanted it corrected. It was set up in type for convenience of reading, although it is not yet ordered. The plates will not be done until the paper is out of the referees hands, and it would not be worthwhile correcting the text until there is certainty over whether the paper will be published.

It can be used in its uncorrected state this afternoon, and Rix states he is sorry that Owen is unable to join them due to poor health.
