TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor James Cossar Ewart
Date7 December 1888
DescriptionIn response to Ewart's letter of 5 December, Rix regrets that the type of his first paper (B34) is distributed, so they cannot supply it at under the published price of two shillings per copy. In relation to his second paper, the plates of which are not yet ready, he can have up to 100 copies at cost price. Rix cannot be precise about when the radiata papers will reach Ewart, but estimates it to be betwen ten days and two weeks.

Rix also responds to inform Ewart that they get the tubes made by Harrison & Sons, Stationers, Pall Mall, and although he can get them ready made or through commercial stationers, they will be too small in diameter. If he wants around 12 then the Royal Society can supply them at cost price, and if more are required he recommends that Ewart ask Harrison for an estimate.
