TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Drake & Gorham
Date20 December 1888
DescriptionReports that the light in today's meeting was so dim that they could barely see to read, and notes that as the cells were properly charged, so it looks likely to be something wrong with the battery. An Electric Lighting Committee will be held after Christmas, and so Rix asks that if anything that must be done immediately in relation to the engine, that they have details by that time.

Rix also notes that the railing around the engineis finished, and so they may run the engine on Thursdays as well as other days. He suggests it might not be advisable to run it during the meeting, between 4 and 6pm, but leaves that to their judgement, and states that up to 4pm it can be used.
