DescriptionRix is instructed by the Royal Society Treasurer to hand Champion the enclosed cheque [not included] for twenty two pounds ten shillings for the benefit of D Carrington. Rix sets out the rate of payment, and states that in future payments will be made quarterly, upon application, at the same rate and until the President and Council of the Royal Society decide otherwise. Also asks if Champion inform the Royal Society should he become aware of the grant being used for purposes other than Carrington's 'personal necessities', or in the event of Carrington's death.
