TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to W S Wintle, Secretary of the Foundling Hospital
Date22 December 1889
DescriptionIn response to his letter of 16 January relating to the Wintringham Trust, Rix lists the dividends due to Wintle, and further notes that this is in addition to the three pounds received as a bonus on conversion of the 1200 pounds Consols. Although it might be treated as capital, the Royal Society Treasurer believes, that as it is small, paying it all in one sum is preferable. Rix therefore sends a cheque for 37 pounds, 19 shillings and nine pence and asks for a receipt. Rix points out that the dividends in future will be less than before conversion.
