TitleCopy letter from Arthur William Rucker, to W H Thelwall
Date1 February 1900
DescriptionThe Royal Society has very strict rules about returning papers to authors and the original manuscripts of papers which have been read are always retained by the Society. The rule is somewhat less stringent in the case of papers which have not been accepted. Quotes statute 31. Asks Thelwall to formally write to him and ask for his paper to be withdrawn and that in accordance with Statue 31 he undertakes to regard it as not having been communicated to the Society at all, Rucker will bring the matter before the next Council meeting, and if leave is given, return the paper.
