DescriptionFoster replies on behalf of the President regarding Janssen's letter. Explains the Royal Society did not understand that he desired any comment upon his decision to lend the balloon 'Volta' to the Crystal Palace Exhibition, as they have no official connection with it. Assures him that the promoters will be gratified with his lending them an interesting souvenir of his experience in 1870. His amiable sentiments will be reported to Council tomorrow.
