TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Andrew Russell Forsyth, Fellow of the Royal Society, Chairman of the Mathematical Sectional Committee
Date1 October 1901
DescriptionThe referees for Professor Darwin's paper on 'The Pear shaped and other Figures of Equilibrium of a Rotating Mass of Liquid'', were settled by Sir M Foster and Professor [Arthur William] Rucker at Glasgow as follows: Professor W M Hicks, Professor G H Bryan or Professor A E H Love. Professor Hicks, who has reported on the paper, suggests it should have been submitted to the same referees as that on 'Ellipsoidal Harmonic Analysis', to which the present paper is a sequel. The referees of the latter paper were Dr [Ernest William] Hobson and Dr [Edward John] Routh. Asks for the Chairman's view on the subject of a second referee.
