TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Dukinfield Henry Scott, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date3 October 1901
DescriptionIn reply to Scott's letter of the previous day, as soon as he returned from holiday he found it necessary to take very strong measures regrading the unfortunate position in which the Society has been placed by Mr Frost with regard to his paper and some other originals which were placed in Frost's hands some time ago. The matter is in the hands of the Society's Solicitors who are endeavouring to trace Frost and recover from him if possible the executed work and, at any rate, the original matter.

Notes that Frost had, as a representative, carried out a great deal of work for the Society for many years past and they had no grounds for anticipating such treatment as they have lately received. Scott is welcome to call on him but Harrison thinks there is little to be done until they hear something definite from the Solicitors.
