TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Captain Edmond Herbert Grove-Hills, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date8 November 1901
DescriptionIs in a little doubt regarding the publication of the preliminary Eclipse Reports and queries how the Joint Committee regard the preliminary accounts read at the Society the other day. Briefly details the regulations made in February 1899 under which the present arrangement of a Joint Meeting of the two Societies is carried out. Queries if all the papers read on 31 May were the accounts of observers and whether those papers are merely preliminary accounts to be published without further question.

The position of Mrs Maunder, whose account Hills sent into the Society, seems especially doubtful, but Harrison is instructed that those observers who were accepted by the Joint Committee as their observers will be accepted at the Society as observers under the regulations, without further question.
