DescriptionIn reply to the Messrs letter of the 6 December, Harrison is authorized by the Treasurer [Alfred Bray Kempe] to say that he agrees that a part of the London and North Western Railway three percent Debentures, about to be transferred to the Royal Society on account of the Mackinnon Fund, should be sold to pay the legacy duty on the bequest.
