TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Edwin Bailey Elliott, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date21 December 1901
DescriptionProfessor Karl Pearson has just sent in Part XI of his 'Mathematical Contributions to the Theory of Evolution', particulars of which are given on the enclosed postcard [not enclosed]. Dr [Joseph] Larmor has accepted the paper for reading and since the paper will have to be adjudicated on the Mathematics Committee of which Elliott has lately been appointed Chairman, Larmor thinks it best Harrison apply to Elliott for a referee.

Larmor thinks Harrison also ought to remind Elliott of the letter which the Treasurer [Alfred Bray Kempe] recently addressed to the Sectional Committees on the subject of the great expense the Society has been incurring in publishing long papers.

Has sent the abstract to the printers, but can send Elliott a proof as soon as one is received.
