DescriptionPresident and Council are prepared to approve in general the resolution quoted in their letter to the effect that the £3000 guaranteed by the Council to make up the £45000 required would be converted into a donation to the Antarctic Fund. They also agree to the terms that should the 'Discovery' be sold, the proceeds should be refunded to two societies, and any surplus should be expended on objects approved by the councils of the two societies.

Before formally accepting, Foster explains they have consulted with the Lords of the Treasury.
