DescriptionIn response to his letter on behalf of the National Academy of Science, President and Council have agreed to a joint committee of the Royal Society and Royal Astronomical Society to co-operate with the American and other National Committees on Solar Research. They have nominated Sir William Huggins, W H Christie, Sir Joseph Norman Lockyer, Professor Arthur Schuster, H F Newall.

President of the Royal Astronomical Society, Professor H H Turner, should be a representative of the Committee at a conference which may be held on the subject in St Louis this summer.
