Description | Thanks him for the parcels of printed documents connected with the International Association of Academies. The Royal Society, as Directing Academy, has appointed an Executive Committee. As delegate, Sir Michael Foster becomes Chairman of the Committee. The body is made up of the other delegates, with Harrison as Secretary. They have met twice, and considered the subjects Darboux rose, and Foster will soon be writing to the constituent Academies on some points.
Asks Darboux to send a further supply of his printed letter of 1 January, copies of the Project numbered B, the report of Marey presented to the International Association, and any official notices of the adhesion of the Academies which now make up the Association. In 1899 it was originally proposed to be made up of 19, but now there is only 18. |
