TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to the Under Secretary of State for India
Date3 October 1902
DescriptionWith reference to the Under Secretary's letter of 14 August and Dr Larmor's letter from the Royal Society Office, Harrison is directed to enquire whether the reply of the Indian Government to the recommendation of the Observatories Committee contained in the Royal Society's letter of 29 July, is likely to be received before the middle of this month. It is proposed to summon a meeting of the Observatories Committee about this date to consider the future work of the Poona Observatory but it would hardly be justifiable to bring the Committee together unless there was a prospect of having before it a communication from the Government of India.
